About Us
Welcome to MySwap, a unique non-profit initiative powered by Australian Wealth Advisory, aimed at preserving the invaluable wisdom of our elderly and providing hope to incarcerated individuals.
Our Vision
We believe that every generation has a wealth of knowledge and wisdom to share. Our vision emerged from a deep concern that the rapid advancement of AI might overlook the invaluable input of our elder generation. As society evolves, we face the risk of losing this precious heritage. Our mission is to bridge this gap and ensure their voices are heard and cherished.
What We Do
MySwap is a community volunteering initiative that connects elderly volunteers with inmates for meaningful exchanges of wisdom and life stories. This unique volunteer work combats loneliness in retirement villages while giving inmates a renewed sense of purpose and hope. The program, called "Let's Excel," runs simply through an Excel spreadsheet—proving that powerful change can start with simple tools. How It Works
- Volunteer Recruitment: We reach out to retirement villages and engage elderly volunteers who may not be familiar with modern technology. These volunteers have a chance to make a significant impact on the next generation.
- Inmate Enrollment: Inmates across Australia can voluntarily register for the "Let's Excel" program during their incarceration. Upon matching, they are given the name and address of a volunteer to correspond with.
- Anonymous Correspondence: All letters are scanned anonymously and used for AI information, preserving privacy and ensuring no personal details are revealed.
- Impact and Feedback: The correspondence helps inmates share their stories, seek advice, and gain a sense of connection. Volunteers get to make a profound impact on the future generation and share their timeless wisdom.
- Parole Input: Just before an inmate's parole decision, Australian Wealth Advisory asks the volunteer one simple question: "Would you approve of them being let back into the community if the choice was yours?" This response is recorded publicly, though it bears no official weight on legal decisions or even use or acknowledgement by the correctional facility or parole baord.

Recognition
After 12 months of dedicated service, each volunteer receives a signed Government certificate from Australian Wealth Advisory, recognizing their invaluable contribution to shaping the future of Australia.
